£1.2bn of construction work in Manchester

Subcontractors of many different trades are required to work on a project for The University of Manchester.  The campus is being expanded with a £1.2 billion investment.

Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke and Sir Robert McAlpine have been appointed by the University of Manchester to deliver the bulk of its £1bn Campus Masterplan.

A partnership framework agreement means the three contractors will deliver the majority of the university’s projects over the next eight years, including its £350m flagship Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD).
